The reason we do this and do not use colour charts is that stains can look different on different types of wood. This achieves a soft milky effect that can also be tinted with other stain colours. Decking Decking oil is applied to the timber to protect it from UV rays and rainwater. There is normally a 3-5mm gap left between boards which act as drainage for water. It is a classy and smart way to finish your outdoor area.
